Your Target Heart Rate Calculation  
 
A very simple formula: 
220- your age x 65-70%= your lower target or fat burning formula 220- your age x 85%= your higher end target heart rate and should only be  done when in good physical condition.
 
***Always best to start any physical conditiong program with a goal of long- slow- steady cardio exercise  maintaining your low end target heart rate for a minimum of 30 to 50 minutes 5 to 6 days per week for a 6 to 8 week period. After that you may begin to integrate a higher end target heart rate using an interval training system as your guide.
 
*** Be smart  by  always checking with your physcian prior to starting any new physical conditioning program.
